Jenner Stoner: Tales from a Rookie Squamish Councillor

Councillor Jenna Stoner grew up in the Sea to Sky corridor and has happily called Squamish home since 2014. Like many, she and her husband were drawn to Squamish for its natural beauty and access to wild places.

She was elected as a first-time councillor in the October 2018 election.

Alongside her council work, Jenna works with an organization called Sustainable Fisheries Partnership where she continues to build on ten years of experience working at the intersection of business, government and environmental conservation. She holds a Masters of Marine Management (MMM) from Dalhousie University and a B.Sc. from the University of Victoria.

When not in Council chambers, Jenna can often be found out on the trails with her dog, Norman, or at one of Squamish’s fine coffee shops plugging away on her laptop. She is always happy to hear from you about your priorities and concerns.
